Story Boards

Watch the Slide Show of the winners.

Story Board of Winners (Hint, use your mouse scroll to move the story. The images aren't titled in the Story Board, so click on them to see the place/theme)

Click for the Slide Show of all qualified entries. Update 19 June 08:43 - I think we hit a cap on images, because there are image IDs in the photobucket folder that aren't showing in the slideshow and the entire thing freezes up when I try to add more photos. Could be temporary, so don't hesitate to say something in comments if you can't find your photo and I'll check on it. -Darrie

Please note that if you did not follow guidelines regarding image size, or if there were any other issues with uploading your image to a 3rd party, you may not be included in the Story.

Thank you to all who entered and we can't wait for the 4th Annual Competition in 2016!

Kind regards,
Operations Director

Edit - 18 June 21:38 Hey guys. We had an error involving the Classic and Fired Up categories, as well as two similar account numbers that were transposed - the mixup was 100% on me and not the member(s). I've corrected the errors, please accept my apologies! You weren't the only ones super excited and anxious to get this all posted!! If you find any more glaring errors or concerns (outside of butthurt, because gooby pls nobody likes a sour grape) please let me know in the comments.

I have to say, I sincerely regret missing that Openraid was having this competition, although most of my shots are mounts/mog/scenery shots, so it would be nice if there were a mog & mount category the next time around. Just wanted to say there were some truly spectacular shots submitted that made me want to get out and spend more time exploring WoW to figure out where they took those screenshots. Peeps love of their toons, their humor and their wit are beautifully showcased in this competition.

I saw quite a few more deserving of Winning placements than what was picked, but what do I know. I saw the last 2 Transmog contest winners and was really excited for this years, but I was pretty disappointed in this years winners. Thanks for at least choosing me in the finals! :)

creatism was less favored in this contest, thats what i dislike here, nothing more. even if the pictures are good, i myself thought it was the sets that counted, get tier 1/2 and pose in molten core, hey if that was win condition, i would do the same, seeing all the other sets that people have used effort to mix/match is what i like, and alot of them are really good, i have been thinking of getting a few of them myself, but pure 100% sets as a win is just soar.

Someone mentioned the "difficulty' of obtaining the items...I don't think that should be included in a fashion related contest. I think pulling things from varying sets, no matter how hard/easy it is to get those pieces, should be what counts. Does it look good, and is it original (Instead of a blizzard made set). Some people just don't have the resources/time to go get those harder to get things. And then, where do we draw the line? Items from the Battle for Mt Hyjal are more rare because no one wants to do that stupid raid (no matter how easy it actually is). Items from more recent raids (MoP/WoD) are also harder to get because they're not easily soloable, so should they be counted higher? Probably not. Let's keep it simple: appearance and mix/matching to make a cohesive set.

Some of the gripes remind me of something I do at work. We make a yearly calendar and we always get HUNDREDS of submissions. In the end, we can only use 12, but there are always people like "Well I guess my pictures weren't GOOD enough. Maybe I just won't submit any next time." Dude. No. Your pictures were great! But... did you miss the part where we can only pick 12? lol You just have to laugh.

They might be salty but I'm glad it wasn't like last year's comments section lol, damn a lot of people were so offensive back then and I think some got banned? :O, thank god so far people are calm-esh :D, and btw judging was fine, like every other judge, the winners were chosen from that judge's point of view and preference, what's wrong with that? come on, don't ruin your fun and other people's fun just because you didn't win :), try again next year :)

I get that people can be a bit salty when they didn't win, but it's not really fair to say "get better judging". It's like you're telling someone "you aren't allowed to like A more than B". The folks involved in picking the finalist group and the winners picked the images they liked best. There was no scoring based on technical or creative difficulty levels. This is transmog, not Olympic Figure Skating. Going forward, it's been mentioned below, I may add a more technical category that would have a limited number of entries allowed because the judging would be more in-depth. So look for that next year! :-)
